Derasa Clams~One of larger species, Tridacna Derasa can reach 1 metre in length and weigh over 80Kgs! Colours vary from solid chocolate brown to blue through to dappled yellow and brown. It is common for the mantle to have an irridescent blue or green edge. Once they close their byssal opening they're happy on a sandy bottom.
